Introduce Yourself : New Producer/Writer looking for connections by Dave McGuire

Hey everyone! i'm a new guy to this form (did it a few years ago, but stepped away). My name is Dave McGuire. I'm a writer / producer in the Bay Area. I'm looking to find people who are like-minded and connect with them, with the one goal: create. For as long as I could remember, I've been wanting to create stories, characters - you name it. I'm looking to create movies (feature / short) that either I've written, or help out on films that you have out there. I want to connect with people and create a network that will allow growth for all of us. I don't have a specific genre that I write for, but what I tend to want to do is provide equal opportunity to all genders, race, orientations - EVERYTHING! I look at Hollywood and see just how much is has to go to be considered "diverse" and I want to be apart of that change. I want to create movies that have female leads, hispanic leads - if you fit the essence of the character, then you are the part. It's that simple. I'm currently writing a short, but have one feature completed and plan to have another done in a month or so. Lets the be the change that the entertainment industry is looking for.
