Introduce Yourself : Writer, Physician Assistant by Corinna Luise Mendis

Hi everyone! My name is Corinna Mendis and I'm a writer and independent film maker. I grew up taking acting classes and performing in high school and college plays, but it wasn't until I started working at a homeless shelter that I started writing screenplays. I wrote and produced a TV Pilot loosely based on my experiences there, and ever since I have had the bug to keep writing and working in film in any way that I can. My day job is working as a Physician Assistant in the emergency room as well as on the detox unit (where I get a ton of material :-) ) My goal is to continue pursuing my writing and film making so I can eventually focus on doing that, while still working in medicine per diem. It's nice to meet everyone!
