For a while now, I wasn't too sure about doing self-taped auditions. My biggest fear was doubting myself with connecting with the observer of my video. But! Since then, I've learned a few guidelines. Amy Jo Berman has a video on Youtube about it, and it's quite simple! It just takes a bit of imagination, kinda like how you're doing with bringing a character you're trying to be; to life! I'll post the video here, just so you can get a better understanding (she gives better direction than I do, anyway!) Hope this helped! Until next time! ♥ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukYBn4UAUdE (Amy Jo Berman video)

Thanks for sharing this. I've actually already seen this video, but I definitely needed to watch it again. I can't figure out why self-tapes seem so intimidating to me! It's good to remember my emotions can indeed be felt on film.

What a great perspective. I had never really thought of it like that before. Thank you.
Great video! Plus, you can edit and choose the take that shows what you really want it to ... or offer up several takes to show diversity (per my acting son). Thanks for sharing, Erin!
