I would like feedback about getting head shots from a non-head shot specialist. The photographer I'm planning to use primarily does glamour shoots. I believe a good head shot should show the actor's inner life. She has a way with eyes and we agree eyes are windows to the soul. She understands there are technical requirements to head shots that differ from portraiture.

Nothing wrong with that choice. Many "specialists" are rip-off artists. Don't fall for: the photog making the prints; not getting the digital files; limiting you on the # of images taken during the session. You're paying for skills and studio time, not for prints, files or a preset # of images.
