@Laurie Thanks much for the link. Really walked me through the process and I would agree ... no show runner. In fact, in the entertainment industry, it seems to me that the very best position is that of Writer! Far fewer hassles. Not that there aren't challenges but still, far fewer hassles.

Glad you liked it, Shelly. It's one of the things that steers me away from TV writing because the natural progression is to show runner. There is a shortage of them though -- so it's a viable career if you have what it takes.
