Managing Research Flotsam and Jetsam

Hi All -- I'm working on a script for a feature film based on a true story. I've been researching the subject for quite some time and have tons of documents, books, notes, snippets, photos and who-knows-what-else that I need to organize in some fashion that makes sense and -- most importantly -- has all this richness be accessible. Presently, it's pretty random. I've used Scrivener some and have checked out Storyist, but I'm not sure what would be best to manage so many different types of media. I'd love to hear how any of you who have worked on similar projects organized and accessed your materials.

Hi KC. :) I mostly use good old pen and paper. I keep a folder for each project and stuff it with what I find and all my notations. Several of my projects are loosely based upon true events. I scribble down various nuggets from all sources, print articles, gather books, mark pages. Then transcribe those tidbits into digital lists, character studies, story ideas, plot possibilities, devices, etc. But I also just file it all away in my head. Leave room for creative discovery. Let my mind sort it out, come up with ideas/approaches. :)

Thanks, Beth. That's been my method so far, but it's fairly unwieldy at this point. There may be no remedy, however, just "go analog." :=>
