Hi all, hope you're well. I have an idea for an educational children's TV show (think Sesame Street/Teletubbies). Do Execs require just a treatment, pilot, or each episode of the entire series scripted before the querying process begins? I'm a feature writer and thus this side of the business is new to me. Here's what Amazon Studios say about children's series (besides the pilot script): "A children's series proposal must include a mini-bible. This should describe the series in general, and its main characters; tell where the series is going and whether episodes are serial or standalone; and include five or six episode ideas."

It's a good idea to have some kind of a series bible [or mini/pitch bible, like the kind Amazon wants], and a treatment alongside the all-important pilot script. It will vary sometimes, and may depend on who you're sending it to - producer, agent, busy exec, etc. They may not want the extra stuff, but it's good to have those things ready just in case. EDIT: You don't need to bother with writing any further scripts beyond the pilot, unless A) The series is purchased or B) It would help you practice your craft or get a better idea of the direction the series would go. But even if B is the case, keep that script for yourself.
