Hi to everyone. I am Kiriakos from Greece, a screenwriter and director, not from a filmschool but from watching movies since I was a kid. A have shot a short film called "Infinite" in 2013, and currently working on a new short film called "Serial Number", a dystopia based on the refugee crisis that is unfolding for some time now in Greece. I am working with people that are the same as I am. Though amateurs, we have established high quality in almost all departments of movie making (always within the frame of a zero budget project). Since 2013 I am developing my screenwriting skills and along with three friends, we have completed a feature film screenplay, in the thriller/drama genre, that received very strong feedback. But, financial crisis in Greece really does not allow this project to go forward. My short term goal is to complete "Serial Number" starting shooting in September 2016. My long term dream is to direct the feature film that I wrote along side with my friends. It is designed as a disturbing horror film, combining drama and thrilling moments based on Greek tradition. The film is staged in mid 60's in a Greek mountain village, just when the military dictatorship took over the government in Greece. I really hope to get in contact with people from outside Greece to see possible collaboration so as this project will find a path. Please, feel free to contact me and I wish to everyone here, to keep up the dreams and the hard work. Feel free to check my profile.

Chandra, Richard thank you! Here things are really hard in filmmaking, but through harsh times you find simple and artistic solution to overcome the problems. This situation also helps to focus on the script it self, to develop strong characters and minimize all the safety provided by CGI scenes. Unfortunately the problem is always to language. I mean, how can you communicate a script in non English language, and of course this applies to every writer that chooses to write in other language than English. Anyway, each step is for good.
I'll tell you what, Kiriakos, you have the right attitude, which makes me believe you win more days than most!
