Anything Goes : Headshots, what matters? by Ken Horkavy

I've been a business consultant for photographers and owned several studios over the years. I've never considered myself the talent, but the back-end developer and manager of a few million dollar studios in Los Angeles and New York. I'm looking to understand where people are getting their headshots now. It used to be the real professional went to the most talented headshot photographer they could find, but it is evolving as the technology evolves... So I'm curious, how many still go the traditional route? and if not, what/who/how do you get that money generating headshot that you shop to castings , etc?
