Hello to everyone on this site. I do not limited myself. When it comes to writing a screenplay. I write it all because I'm dreamer. The question is How far should I go to get a point across? Should I cross that line of no return. Do I respect the movie goer or offend him or her?
Alright. I can dig that.
How far....in what way? Do you mean dumbing it down or hitting viewer over the head with the point you are trying to get across, making it obvious?
Dear Mark, Great question, I normally go all out because I believe if an Idea comes to you you should keep it or organic and let it flow... However I did once scratch an Idea ( for a Fantasy/Action/Drama) The Script I was working on would of depicted the way the after life would deal with sinners of this life) I am not going to share the idea or go into detail because I don't won't to offend anybody who might have to deal with this situation in real life, however on over 100 project's in Film, Art, Comics, Scripts etc it was the one time where a line was visible and where I knew that if I crossed it for artistic intent that I would, without doubt morally regret it. We all make mistakes and have regrets, it's only human, yet sometimes it's just nice to know that you consciously choose not to make one : ) God bless, much success, Kareem
