Interesting read From StephenFollows.com <>> Two part article of Stephen Follows series into how movies make money in Hollywood with movies budgeted between $10m and $100m and $100m plus. PART 1 =>> https://stephenfollows.com/how-movies-make-money-hollywood-blockbusters/ PART 2 =>> https://stephenfollows.com/films-make-money-pt2-30m-100m-movies/ PART 3 =>> https://stephenfollows.com/hollywood-movies-make-a-profit/ "Do Hollywood movies make a profit? Using inside data, financial modelling and a dataset of every movie released since 1990, Stephen Follows took at look at how many Hollywood movies make a profit. Hollywood has a negative reputation when it comes to transparency and financial openness. It feels as though each month brings yet another news story about a Hollywood flop losing millions or another lawsuit where people accuse studios of fiddling the figures to prevent having to pay out profit shares."

Stephen Follows is one of the top minds of the industry - I highly recommend his site for statistical analysis. He taught an advanced level crowdfunding master class for us, too, if anyone is interested: https://www.stage32.com/classes/Advanced-Crowfunding-Masterclass

Agree fully with Amanda's comments above. Stephen is not only a friend, but someone I deeply admire as a teacher. Incredible mind and vision. Great share, Dimi!
More than welcome..I follow his posts and learn a lot from him..Also i like the way he structures his articles so they are informative with the graphs but also not overwhelming with the text so its beautiful balance between both..There is nothing like what he does out there for us indie filmmakers who are trying to make sense of things in our industry that is also available for free..I am also sharing his articles on my film group on facebook to get more filmmakers to look at what he does for us all..D
