Hi Susan. Glad to have you here. So in short, it's not easy. I'm not sure what comment was here before, as it's gone now, but try to avoid any get-cast-fast kinda schemes. There's a lot of them out there and most of them don't really work. #1. Check out this lounge for the past conversation topics. #2. Connect with other members from your area and ask them for advice: https://www.stage32.com/people?coordinates=&name=&location=Denver%2C+Col... #3. Sign yourself and your husband up for casting sites to receive notifications (there's ton of them out there, but only few cover Denver) #4. Check out sites that book extras as well #5. Try to save some money for casting director workshops and classes That should be a good start. Also, if you have an IMDb pro account, it's a great research tool - you can use it to reach out to other creatives as well.
Hey Susan! Congrats on deciding to pursue this path! Tomasz has given you a lot of great advice above. Focus on your craft and being confident as an actor. Continue to grow, practice and learn every single day. Good luck!
Thanks, Tye for the heads up. Does it take a lot of cash to get started?
