Grant Stevens

Experienced Music composer for Films/TV/Games

Good afternoon all, I wanted to stop by to say hello and introduce myself to the great people of this forum. During my time here thus far, I've had the privilege of getting to know and collaborating with a fair amount of you, so again very much appreciate the opportunities. I'm an experienced music composer and Sound/Foley artist, for the games, TV and Film sector and have had the pleasure of beingsa part of some projects along with working with some brilliant writers, directors and TV personalities. Music has always been a passion I hold close to my heart and to help bring a project to life with music is such a great feeling. I look forward to many more collaborations with you, so please feel free to connect with me and contact if you'd like me to create an awesome music composition, as well as any Foley or sound work you may need for your next production. All the best guy's.

Hey Marjolein, Haha, guilty as charged. Indeed I have done exactly that in the past. I think most of us Foley artist's have been caught once or twice clutching a set of coconuts or celery sticks! Although much of Foley work has remained the same for many years such creating a desired sound by means of something that may well be completely un-related to the original intended sound, the coconuts being a prime example of this. Other effects can be obtained from the actual source in some cases, or specially designed using certain software to manipulate a base sound. Some sounds are of course impossible to capture, such as Dinosaurs, Monsters, or Atomic Blasts. Unfortunately (at least from a Foley artists point of view) there's not very many dinosaurs roaming around London anymore, so these types of effects would steer you more into the sound design side of things. I hope this answers your question and gives you a brief idea into the world sound effects. All the best.

Grant Stevens

You too Aray :)
