I have finally completed 1629 Mutiny on the Batavia (ebook) which I believe will make not just an outstanding film, but become one of the all time greats. It's based on a true story that evolves around war, adventure, shipwreck, mutiny, murder, massacre, love, lust, revenge and redemption. It makes The Titanic look like a kindergarten story. There have been many books written about the Batavia but no one has delved so deeply into the characterisation of the chief protagonists. Although the plot is probably the best story you will ever read, I feel that it is the characters that provide the most lingering interest and fascination. In particular I have posed some disturbing questions: How do good men/women become evil? How much evil would you commit in order to keep alive? If this book was fiction, the critics would proclaim that it is just too unbelievable. That it is a true story makes this drama/adventure even more amazing. Come on board and make The Batavia a truely great film!
Henry, sounds like you've got it all covered
Not quite Pauline. I just need a film company to run with this.
With all those ingredients that should not be a problem,
Sounds like you have a good story.

It's a great story. It's the best story I know. I just made it better. I really enjoyed writing it although I sometimes had to go to that very dark place and imagine being both the murderer as well as the victim. To immerse yourself completely in that character can be a terrifying experience.
Welcome to Stage 32, Henry!

Hi Randy. You can access it by going to Amazon.com and typing in 1629 Mutiny on the Batavia. It is an ebook so that you can download it immediately by using Kindle (which is also a free download.)

Thanks Colin. I hope you are right. I will take a leaf out of Jake's philosophy and never give up.
Hi Henry, It sounds like 1629 has a lot of interesting elements in it. Should do well.
Thanks Torrey.
You're welcome Henry.
