Introduce Yourself : Hello...is it me you're looking for? by Shernita Wynder

Yeah...the catchy title of course is from Lionel Riche...but I hope becomes a reality for many of you looking for a creative screenwriter, director and producer. My background is very diverse with over 20 years in education, technology, arts, poet, playwrite and so much MORE! I consider myself a natural-born film critic, as I began a love for movies at the age of 5 with the film, "Zombies" that I saw at the drive-in theater in Florida released in the 70's. From there, the fascination of all films took over. If it was a comedy and it wasn't funny it was a flop and my mind began to rewrite what would have made it funny to me...drama, it had to evoke an emotion...sadness, anger, empathy, etc...if not, I rewrote the scenes in my head...horror, it had to make me either jump, scream, or plug up my ears (you do know SOUND makes a GREAT movie unforgettable?) or it was a "dud" in my opinion (I do consider myself a Horror Queen)...I got so good till I would be able to tell what would happen next and even the outcomes of the sequels...which most times were on point. Now, at this point, I have gravitated to living my dream of screenwriting, stepping into the role of directing and producing films and shows that will reach the human psyche in ways that are mindboggling and true to form. As a celebrity journalist and Senior Writer of a major Atlanta based magazine I get to interact with the entertainment world and many have become my friends. I feel my season is RIPE for harvesting works that will make an impact like my mentors Stephen King, Jerry Bruckheimer, Wes Craven, Shonda Rhimes, Ava Devurnay, Tyler Perry and Oprah.
