Forgive the double-negative, but never don't reach out. I write comedy...some of which is actually funny...so my mind does strange things. Yesterday, while trying to come up with something odd about the annual pumpkin spice insanity, I came up with a movie sequel idea (see poster). On a lark, I decided to post the photo to Twitter, specifically calling out to the writer/director of the movie Spy, Paul Feig. When I checked Twitter this morning, Feig had not only "Liked" the poster, he retweeted it (he does this for fans). So cool. So, after thanking him for the RT, I posted his RT to Instagram...where the RT was "Liked" by writer/director Paul Haggis. Also cool. Understand, I have no pretense that I have a relationship with either of these men...but it does suggest that you never know who is listening or watching when you interact on social media...and that this likely works in both good and bad ways (i.e., don't be an a-hole). I think it's cool that Feig and then Haggis took a moment to reach out, even if still maintaining their distance. I will completely respect that and not spam the hell out of them. Just wanted to share my interesting day.
The Feig RT
The Haggis like of the Feig RT...how meta do you think I can get this?
