Hello! I recently heard about Stage 32 and am grateful to have a place to go where it's all people who know the pain and reward of creating film, TV, and theater content. I recently published a novel an the Syrian conflict (Looking Into the Sun) with the aim of raising awareness and donations for Save the Children to benefit Syrian kids. I also adapted a script from my novel and recently optioned it to Sleeperwave Films (now in development)! I'm excited to be a part of this process and hope to continue. For all of you more experienced screenwriters out there, I also just completed a separate script that a production company already owns the rights to the source material (a novel) - but has been dissatisfied with their current script for years now.... I figured I would give an adaptation a shot - but don't know how to get it in front of the Development Coordinator to see if they would be interested as I don't have an agent or manager...any suggestions other than a cold call or cold e-mail? Very cool, thanks Todd! Let's talk about the Doc, I would love some input with it etc...I'm Producing, which haha...i love but don't want to, not on this. I was fortunate to find my Director, I just love her, she's super cool, her name is Elizabeth Mcdonald....just found her a few weeks ago she's on IMDB. I was looking for a Producer, but it's just happened the way its happened, and I've Produced before so i'm doing what needs to be done. I started Transcribing a bazillion hours of footage last night, so I should be done in a few years ;) It's all been done ass backwards so far because...well, I didn't know I was making a Documentary, so...Now I'm here and Elizabeth gets to take my mess, and mold it into the story it needs to be, because I'm definitely not a Director...I just have a really harsh but good story.
