I'm taking a class for TV writing. My initial reason was to create a web series drama but we had to pitch a concept and I went with a sitcom instead (crazy I know). I love the class I always believe in learning something new..However, these classmates critiques are draining....A career in recruitment has really prepared me for rejection.. I think if I would have taken this class years ago the first time I started writing I would have quit writing...

It's a long, long, long odds game to be sure. At least, though, there are opportunities outside of the major studios with indie producers....people who make their own low-budget/ultra-low budget films, shorts and series....and other media outlets via the Internet like you are trying. Web series' possibilities weren't even an opportunity when I was in my twenties. If it was easy.....everyone would be doing it....even though at times it feels like everyone is doing it. Have faith....if you love what you are doing.....you will always remember the hardest days....nothing is quite as spiritually rewarding as overcoming the obstacles that line everyone's path to success. And remember...if the Cubs could win the World Series....anything is possible! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! Good luck and Happy Persevering! RIP, GWEN IFILL (September 29, 1955 - November 14, 2016)

Congrats on taking a class for TV writing. If these people are just fellow classmates, then you shouldn’t take their critiques too seriously. However, I do understand how you feel which is why instead of quitting writing screenplays I quit asking people to give me feedback.
@Dan
@Dan I am definitely trusting myself more after this class...
