By NC on December 31, 2016 Format: Amazon Video Review of: "The Breakout - A Rock Opera" I worked in Hollywood for ten years, as a Senior Engineer and Technical Advisor to the Post-production clients. They were concerned with editing their footage, whether film or video, into completed TV programs, TV commercials, or movies for theatrical release. During that ten year period I worked on hundreds of films, thousands of TV Commercials, and so many Rock Videos it would be uncountable. Director Jenn Page has captured my attention with this film, because of her fresh approach to lighting, having engaging characters, and a slamming soundtrack composed by Chris Edgar. It is no easy task to assemble a crew and film a 'Rock Opera'. The logistics, cost and frustrations on-set and in Post-production are well known in my career. This team has done something extraordinary! The locations, music, expert cinematography and editing, all encapsulated with a compelling storyline satisfies my hyper-critical eyes and ears. I cannot wait to see the next project that Jenn Page and Chris Edgar create. Their skills are quite apparent. Hollywood are you listening?
