Living in DC during the OBAMA years has been amazing. Today i'm sitting on my couch 4 miles from the inauguration. The news is off and the music is on, and i am making art in protest.
I’ve been primarily a theatre maker for 20 years. Acting, playwriting, set designing, producing, directing- you name it, I've done it at least once, and usually all at the same time, with little or no budget. I am working on transferring my theatre making skills to filmmaking.
I'm especially looking for new friends to talk about screenwriting as I learn the craft. I am no stranger to writing, having produced and published several plays - I am excited about the resources i am already finding here! Let me know what has worked for you!

Welcome! My favorite book on screenwriting is Viki Kings "How to Write a Movie in 21 Days" a great book for "finishing" the script in your mind!

@Aray Brown, I love that you are working in multiple media. Writing a novel and turning it into a screenplay is really smart! I'm currently working in the horror / suspense realm as well. I also have done a lot of adaptations. Nice to meet you!
