Hello all... my name is Andy Kotz and I operate and compose music from my home-based studio/company called AKMusic Productions... here in Minneapolis, MN.
Although now I compose music primarily for television it didn't start out that way. I started out out as a guitarist-for-hire out of the Los Angeles area. 14 years of studio recording and touring for recording artists in the 80's and 90's. I then transitioned back to my first love of jazz and r&b music. I attempted a solo jazz guitarist career (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/AndyKotz) which flamed out quickly!
My sister and film maker Cristina Kotz Cornejo (www.wildwimminfilms.com) has asked me to provide music for her film(s) over the years and that has fueled my passion for scoring for film and production music.

Hey Andy. Good to have you here. Indeed, I see a lot of TV series on your IMDb page. Makes me wonder, how does one get into a scene like scoring for Real World, I'm guessing it's through the studio. Nice website too. Love the guitars.
