I have always loved writing so it made sense that I met my wife through text messages online. My first indie movie won a couple of small awards but didn't make much money so we had it tight for a while when I lost my day job the following year. A few new jobs later life was getting better again when her breast cancer returned and spread to her bones, liver and lungs. This distracted me a little from my first entry in the NYC Midnight Screenwriting Challenge especially since I also lost my job that week. At least I had plenty of free time during her last 7 months on earth. She died Dec. 3 and I was hired to a new job on Dec. 8. Last month I was hired as a security guard and while I am waiting for my first shift to be scheduled I have started the Screenwriting Challenge again. Life is never boring especially when you connect with interesting people on Stage 32!
