I'm moving to London this summer and am planning on going to The London Screenwriters Festival.  Anyone been? Tips and thoughts requested!

Owen, I am fortunate that my wife has a very good job offer there. So i mainly plan on focusing on screenwriting. I have heard that since it is expensive, and harder to get work visas, that IF you do, there is work for Americans, since you know, we have the accent....

See you there, Daniel! :)

Bill Costantini

Stay away from Maltesers and Wine Gums - both are way, way better than the American versions, and quite addictive!

Hi Daniel,

I went last year for the first time. I found it to be fantastic and well worth the money. There are also some pre-conference days that are definitely worth the money. To be honest, I thought the prices were very reasonable. If I were living in London and not having to pay for airfare + accommodation I'd be going again this year.

Usually, they have 4-5 seminars going at any one time. So you're spoilt for choice. The dilemma is which one to attend? I tried to choose ones that weren't recorded. The others you'll be able to get access to their video links via the LSF site. Take business cards with you and be prepared to say hello to strangers. Have fun, well worth every pound.

Cheers, Paul

Hey Paul, all the reasons you mentioned are all the reasons I'm intending to go. Chris Voegler is going to be there this year too! So excited, can't wait. Thanks for the great feedback.
