Introduce Yourself : My name is Brian... by Brian Thomas

Hello, my name is Brian Thomas, I am a rising senior and I have been writing for 4 years. I have always been very creative, when I was little, me and my brother created stories while playing on the trampoline. Now I channel that creativity into writing stories.

Most of my scripts are light, fun comedies that are meaningful without being to serious. As a teenager, I struggle with my own anxieties, mostly social, and I rarely find a character on tv I can relate too. One of my goals as a writer is to provide real, awkward, flawed characters that people like me can relate to and to show sides of culture not often explored on tv.

I am really trying to do all I can now before I graduate high school, to make my chances of being discovered more likely. I write all the time, me and my brother attended the One week Ithaca college screenwriting camp in 2016, I have a social media account dedicated to one of my scripts, I have entered three competitions, which I will hear results from in September, and I got the chance to direct a script I wrote at my high school for my theatre class final exam.

I am really passionate about writing and am looking forward to all the opportunities that may lay ahead of me.
