Cinematic Dream Pop

Hey everybody :) excited to meet you all and share our industry experiences. Thought i'd pop in and share one of my newest projects with you. I am a singer/songwriter from NYC and my new track dropped this month, entitled, "How Was I Supposed To Know." The music video was directed and co-written with Billboard Charting Producer, Tim Janssens. I am so looking forward to meeting you all, exchanging ideas and seeing what you cool projects you are up 2. I hope you enjoy the song/video. Have an incredible weekend guys!

Jus my thoughts... The song is strong. Something about the way you sing ' how was I supposed to know' stands out for some reason. I know it's the title and you probably mean to do accent the lyric, but something sounds off between the melody, or the way you're carrying the lyric/notes. The video looks great but it's just you walking. Cinematic - yes. But I assume there's a story with the song and I would like to see the story intercut with your other shots. Jus me. Just a music fan, nothing more. Best wishes. Keep us posted on how your projects are going. :)

Hey Shawn. Appreciate your feedback so much. It means a lot to me that you took the time to watch and generate a response. <3 You rock. As a little background reference, the story behind this song is that the subject wants you to follow her through her mind, her pain, to emphasize solitude, a pure connection to the surroundings that is somber but emotional, my back to you, shown by not showing... and the eye contact at the end to finally show the human connection back to the subject. We are fortunate enough to live and show emotions through so many planes of experience.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. xo

Hi Shawn. The song is powerful and emotional. The picture speaks more than a thousand words. Every frame of the video is a picture for himself with the story and emotion!

Great work!

Wish you all the best
