Do you let people read your screenplays when they're finished? Are they your friends? Perhaps you enlist someone in your family. Do you let other screenwriters review your work? Who is your writing confidante? Or perhaps you don't share your work with others.
Do you have that special somebody who you ask to read your stuff? If not, why?

Have friends and family read for fun. My sister (BA English/MA Creative Writing/UCLA Screenwriting Program) looks at my stuff with the more jaundiced eye.

I have a friend who has read my stuff for 20-years. He's my go-to-guy for feedback and concepts. Another friend reads to edit. Also have a small core of Writers I ask to read for clarity- look right on the page. And my Agent.
I ask my husband to read it, because he isn't in the industry at all and is an outside voice. I also ask a few trusted folks who write for their thoughts.
I have one friend who is a working screenwriter and is always willing to read my work. And my first reader is always my guy, he has an excellent eye for what's missing and his advice is spot on.

When it's polished as much as I think I can - I send it to a pro. It always amazes my what they see that I didn't. I can read my own script a 100 times and never even see the typos and they 'most always point out little story glitches, Why didn't I see 'em?
When I think it's ready I send it to screenplayreaders dotcom... I'm not plugging them, but they find both the good and the bad, and occasionally come up with a good logline (with re-tooling, usually). It's hit or miss though.... A horror reader may not really do well with a period piece script, for example, no matter how good their creds are. I have a neighbor that works at Arri that knows people - he will send it and I'll get a pass or consider... Never got a recommend (yet).
yes , i have a friend who is Author too in Nigeria i normally give my work
