Financing / Crowdfunding : Funding film for a young woman african filmmaker by Vohary Soa Ralaiarisolo

Hi everyone! I'm so happy I finally have an occasion to talk with other people in the world of cinema!. So as the title says, I'm a young african lady who started writting films 2 years ago. I had a big project at the begining but my french producer finally left me and I put this project in one corner. Now I want to be productive, I want to start making films!. I have a short documentary project talking about my dad and how he failed in everything he did in life. I want to find grants or anything to fund this project. The problem is I live in an Island which is a part of africa and it seems like there are not so many possibilities. Do you guys know grants that are available for me? Any idea would be so welcome!
