Hello, Could you please give me your thoughts and advice on what you think my casting is based on first impressions. What sort of parts I could play, age range, style etc. I want to know more about my casting so I know I'm going into the right audition rooms. Thanks! x

I think you should concentrate on parts you can intellectually identify with and feel able to portray their particular character traits with powerful vision from "Inside". (Unless the casting request is something like a "RIGID" must be 6ft and blonde etc etc) The first impression of the photo is Love interest in thriller/horror/period drama/Rom com.; (Biased report requested) Yet you could equally be a deranged gin sodden serial killer with missing teeth and poxed skin from years of heroin abuse, living in a garage on a rough estate age 28....if that is the part requested in castings. If you can pull a particular character off at auditions, its the Makeup departments job to make you look like shit or like a beauty queen. Character will out, and when readings take place and there are several similar looking people for one part, its the one with the internal spark that is most remembered. Age think 18-30, but then again Head of Makeup could put you through your thirties and early forties. Don't think what you look like too much at castings, (as long as you fit general guidelines) but how you feel you identify with the part , and go for it giving it your all.
