I'll just say this: it is really difficult, scary , shameful for any victim to speak up. That's right. This is not a right or left, black or white issue, but it's hypocritical to call out some and give academy awards to others. All I can say is that Harvey Weinstein is the tip of the tip of the iceberg. There are bigger names, and celebrities you don't expect who are, well, rapists and pedophiles. It's ridiculous. ISIS's uses twitter and they censored Rose McGowan. I share Kate Beckinsale's story here because I personally know of at least 60, yes 60 people that had similar experiences. Not all in hotel rooms, some in studios, offices, sets, homes..but the story is the same. Many of them are no longer in the industry.

It speaks to the status quo in this business that I was aware that standing up for myself and saying no to things,while it did allow me to feel uncompromised in myself,undoubtedly harmed my career and was never something I felt supported by anyone other than my family.I would like to applaud the women who have come forward , and to pledge that we can from this create a new paradigm where producers,managers,executives and assistants and everyone who has in the past shrugged and said " well, that's just Harvey /Mr X/insert name here " will realize that we in numbers can affect real change.For every moment like this there have been thousands where a vulnerable person has confided outrageous unprofessional behavior and found they have no recourse, due to an atmosphere of fear that it seems almost everyone has been living in .I had a male friend who, based on my experience,warned a young actress who said she was going to dinner with Harvey to be careful. The problem we have is not confined to our industry, it is societal: A majority of men see a powerful position as a license to get away with anything. Women in any industry look to powerful men as someone that can 'make-or-break' their career, and don't feel empowered to say 'no' without fear of reprisal.

They closed their eyes all these years because it's also political. Weinstein is a good friend of Meryl, a Democrat and has financed the campaign of Hilary. Meryl could cry about the false accusation concerning Trump, Trump just talked he never acted, but says nothing about so many rapes, because Weinstein is a Democrat. Everybody knew it. I saw him only once at the Cannes Festival and I felt uncomfortable, I could feel that he is a predator. A friend then told me what everybody knew at Cannes, where he did a mess. I think there are so many victims. Unfortunately, the whole Movie business all around the world is like this, Weinstein just did too much. I have lived this in France and Germany too.

I don't excuse Trump's behavior, I just compare the reaction and the drama of Hollywood regarding Trumps" talk" at this moment, and they all defended a pedophile like Polanski and Weinstein. Hollywood didn't reject me, I never tried to be in, but I can confirm, you find the same behaviors in the movie business all around the world and also the music business. I always refused, could escape most of the time. Many powerful men are abusing, it's frustrating, but that's the world.
I mean there is a thing called google where you can read the stories from the young women that Trump walked in on while they were changing. You can hear trump brag about walking in on them on the Howard Stern show. If you are looking for hypocrisy, you don't need to look at Hollywood to find it.

Creative Artists Agency along with William Morris Endeavor are the 2 top talent agencies in Hollywood. Very powerful. They represent the top artists and make picture deals. Absolutely complicit, I hope there's a class action law suit from all the men, women and especially young children harmed by their artists, producers, managers, directors. I know good people who still work in those 2 agencies, however, they have been silent. No way to cut it, if you know of these abuses and stayed silent you are complicit.

With the advent of digital tech and the internet, you can find like minded independent filmmakers, create your own content, act in it, distribute yourselves even in theaters. Decentralize filmmaking like blockchain and bitcoin. Cut the middlemen out.

Dan Maxx - Claims of rape and sexual abuse should be heard and supported. Not dismissed, judged or mocked with smart comments. You may be 'somebody' in the industry, and maybe part of a fancy union, but it doesn't give you a right to disparage people especially when they're talking about sexual abuse.

It doesn't matter guys if your union, non-union etc. Me? I have done this job for 9 yrs. The problem is that the higher ups in Hollywood are lawyered up really good and I was told that in first few yrs I did this job, that if I said anything my chances of getting any job I would be ruined. As for me I was forced to shut up about it as I was struggling the first few yrs of working in the entertainment world. Even though I have dealt with sexual harassment in the 'real world' in the entertainment industry is it 'rampant' From what I have seen this done through executives, producers and directors. i will not name names as I know I can be sued for slander etc, but this has happened to me when have had to go out for 'sexy' roles or some director or producer sexually harassed me by promising to take my career to the 'next level' If I did him a favor. Its about time this stopped and I hope that all these pedophiles, perverts and executives who have taken advantage of people starting out are ruined for life by being a stereotypical Hollywood scumbag

But you know why I do this job? I love entertaining people, directing, producing, acting and writing. I love make them think, to make them laugh, To make them cry and maybe even shock them. I just keep my eyes on the prize as I am where I belong in the world and I love this job. This industry is kinda crazy though as in the first few yrs of doing this, my mentor actually told me that even though this is an international industry and its big, all of the sudden it can get really small as everyone knows everyone whether personally or by reputation and everyone talks about everyone else. it has not surprised me that stuff like this has come to the light. It has not just happened to me, But I have traded stories with others who have had to deal with the same thing that I have and some people have gotten desperate only to do 'questionable' things if they thought they could get up the food chain faster. Me? I keep my own counsel, I just remain strong and I will 'NEVER' do something degrading or questionable if it would get me up the food chain in this job
I say that we quit giving that humanoid the spotlight and put it on those who don't use the "casting couch". But I guess that would not be good convo then right? I mean, god forbid, we shed the light on the good this business does have.

Richard, it's true, there's always been a silence on this even though we all know it goes on. I think you and I and others can play a small part by speaking up here and anywhere we get the chance. My cousin wanted to get her daughter involved in this industry and I told her to wait until she was older, It was because of this situation and also the stories that I have heard from parents who were responsible and didn't exploit there kids for money or for 'favors'. Problem is that money talks to some people and some of the sorted stories I have heard from parents (when I've been on a set with kids involved) who wanted to get there kids into this business, were so desperate for money to the point that they were 'really' naive and trusted the wrong people, shelled out ridiculous money, have come really bad backgrounds or wanted to live vicariously through there kids. If former child stars can come out and change the exploitation of kids in this industry, by putting regulations in place for labor laws etc. Why not this? I have seen producers use this kind of behavior and I have witnessed single and married women use it to get ahead. The thing is guys, I have talked to people at auditions, jobs etc. The mythos of Hollywood still exists for some people. Name your cliche? I have met some cliches of people who come to L.A with stars in there eyes hoping to get discovered. Or that they'll get discovered by a celebrity. There illusions are quickly dissipated, when they see that this is a grind like any other job and there not getting 'discovered'. You know what happens, sometimes? I saw the Dr. Oz Show with Corey Feldman, I am so happy that Dr. Oz confronted Corey Feldman and read out loud to him the Santa Barbara Police statement in front of him and the audience. After hearing the statement of" That the Police are aware of Corey's Allegations sadly, he never mentioned any names of the people who raped him. I also wonder if after the Dr. Oz Show did he go down to the Police Department as he Promised to file a complaint against these people. Now, I don't know about anyone else but, this worries me cause I wonder what Corey's real intentions are for example: " is he threatening to expose these men for the benefit of protecting future actors and actresses?" " Or is he doing this for a Publicity Stunt?" " Or is he using this Knowledge as a form of BlackMail to get Movie deals in the future and be offered Higher Salary contracts That a well-experienced actor/actress deserves?" Something doesn't seem right cause if he wanted to have these guys arrested why didn't he mention his attackers while at the police department? Something doesn't seem right with him and since he hasn't had any movie deals lately and for a long time, I have a terrible feeling he's threatening to name names as a form of blackmail and as well as being offered a lot of money to keep quiet about these child molesters/pedos. I don't know about anyone else but, why is he trying to raise 10 Million dollars when everyone else is telling him it won't even cost that much to produce this documentary? I mean a Documentary where he is sitting in front of a camera naming names shouldn't cost 10 million dollars but, should only cost him close to $500,000 or less. Demolition with Jake Gyllenhaal, Noami Watts, and Judah Lewis Cost 10 Million to produce, which is an actual movie.
