We just released our first comedy series on Amazon. A few people said we should reach out to HBO because our show is similar to their hit tv show “Insecure” so far we’ve gotten some pretty good reviews. I just don’t have the connection to reach anyone over at HBO or any network for that matter. Any suggestions? If you are a prime member you can watch it for free. If not you can still watch it by downloading the Amazon Video app from Google Play Store or the App Store. Or you can watch online at https://www.amazon.com/Dexter-Jacksons-Guide-to-Dating/dp/B076JL8B9B

That's not how you set up a TV series. You have to go through a production company HBO already deals with. Check out the FilmSpecific.com blog for this week.
Thanks for give me a place to start
Is it being produced by Amazon? Did you produce it yourself? Recent research by me brought no entry ways for companies like HBO, Showtime and Starz - directly. Like Eric suggested, research prodcos that do biz with HBO, search Linked for networking possibilities... I'm still unsure of your project's status? Is it a pilot for a series? a web-series or a teaser?
Thanks for replying. It’s produce by my wife and I. It’s a web series (6 completed episode) are now available on Amazon. Yes I’ve been following Eric’s advice and been looking. I just started looking so nothing solid in my findings yet
I personally would suggest finding a sales agent that deals with comedy TV. This will give you a broader vision than just HBO - i.e. more avenues for exposure and revenue. Besides, although Erik is right in that HBO (and most other premium channels) do have prodcos they work with, those prodcos generally have their own slates they're developing and have little interest in outside projects.
Thanks for the insight. Are there any sales agent you can recommend?
follow the game plan of Issa Rae (Insecure) and Lena Durham (Girls). Both had 0 TV experience but they partnered with major players with track records.
Bobby, sorry, no. The couple I know only deal in feature films.
