Hey, was just looking for feedback on my pitch for an action-sci-fi pilot. Thanks in advance.
Tagline: The present is about to become a thing of the past.
Logline: My show is a cable, prime-time, hour-long action sci-fi called “Time Zone” about a task force led by an ex-soldier through different eras of prehistory in order to restore the forward flow of time.
Pitch:
Time travel; it means punching a hole in time. Punch enough holes in a structure, it collapses.
The collapse began soon after the invention of time travel in 2026, with the advent of time zones; areas stuck in the distant past. And just as anyone can step into these holes in time, so too can anything step out.
In 2086, more of the Earth remains stuck in the past than in the present, and the surface teems with once-extinct creatures.
A newly-invented machine can repair space-time, but it needs to be transported to the epicenter of every single time zone in order to bring them back to the present. From around the Philadelphia Citadel, a task force of its best soldiers, scientists, and medics is assembled.
Its commander, though, tried to leave his life as a soldier, serving deep in the wilderness behind; a life he still has flashbacks to, only to find himself leading this task force.
It is this task force that gets tested by near every predator, natural disaster, and ancient disease that has ever existed, as well as by nature herself. They also face the human threat of those who live outside of civilization, the borderlanders. As members of the task force die, the intrepid few who live must push-on before the present becomes a thing of the past.
About me: Hello, (name of pro). My name’s Daniel and, so far, I've written 4 pilots and am working on a 5th with the goal of becoming a full-time TV and or feature writer in Hollywood. I want to create works that people enjoy and admire, and I know that those who enjoy action-sci-fi will enjoy this. So, (pro), what do you say?
