I'm currently in the process of pitching my comedy TV show pilot about 3 sassy older women living in Palm Springs...it's loosely based on my eccentric granny who taught me how to cuss when I was 4, made moonshine, and beat to her own drum (these misadventures are chronicled in my published humor memoir In the Land of Misfits).
I am a published children's book author, and my most recent picture book "Sebastian's Moon" was published this year and has gotten good reviews. It's about a little boy whose brother passed away so he thinks his brother went to live on the moon. It doesn't focus on the death, but rather Sebastian's adventure to send his stuffed brontosaurus and blanket to the moon so that his brother isn't lonely. One day I'd like to adapt it into a screenplay.
It's been an interesting transition from writing children's books to screenplays, so I'm still learning, and Stage 32 has helped tremendously with my questions.
Happy writing and creating, and wishing everyone big success in these final months of 2017, and into 2018!
