Hello, all. I am a filmmaker. My most recent film, a dramedy entitled, "State of Modern Love," has won a couple of awards, which I'm really quite proud of. I've written or co-written several feature scripts, many of which were produced and are available worldwide. I'm embarking on a new screenplay-- this time a crime thriller -- and am looking for a producer/financier. Any leads would be appreciated!

Happy New Year Lisa, welcome!
I figured as much, but it never hurts to ask, Vitaly Kozlov. Many of my close friends and collaborators were once just social media friends, and the more people you meet, the more leads you have. It's never something that happens overnight. And I have met people on LinkedIn that have paid money for me to produce. it just takes time and depends whether or not you click with someone. Thank you for your advice, though. I will consider it. Berlin is a great film market, though I haven't been in several years. Maybe time for a visit again as my stepdaughter resides there. Have a great day!
Vitaly - don't be so harsh or so quick to spread misinformation.
Try the pitching sessions on the Happy Writers' bar that's on here. The Happy Writes' bar is on the top left and the pitch session is the first tap once you stroll down. The cost to pitch is $30 per session and you could chose whichever industry executive that matches your needs. Good Luck!
Vitaly Kozlov, I do understand what Doug Nelson means. IMDb doesn't have a discussion board anymore, you have to contact the producers, directors and financiers direct through their websites/emails - and you get those by being a paid up member of IMDb. On Stage32, I have gotten to know people through networking and keeping in contact. Actually, I've never thought of LinkedIn as a site for 'dating' and the 6,000+ followers I never have approached me in such a manner - they have always been very professional in their communications with me.
Welcome Lisa and good luck!

Yes Vitally; I do indeed have a different opinion - a very different opinion. There are a few exceptionally knowledgeable and professional film industry types who prowl the Stage 32 forums regularity. As for no one in here being able to finance a short - I have enough cash in my desk drawer to finance a short at a moments notice right now.
Try to be more supportive and helpful to those who inquire. I don't see this as the time or place for such a discussion but I will offer an observation: Raining on other peoples' parade will only do you more harm than good. I also suggest that you won't get it. 'nuff said - no more.
