In addition to the audition circuit, I vlog and make films. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqSmBB2tk_g

I wrote and shot this short monster movie in a day. Make your short, pick your role, do whatever you want to do. oh, and have me in your movie please

I don't have the answer. This place is not as good as it could be.

I have to worry about karma points than doing real stuff??? Waaah!

I would guess based on RB's background and expertise in networking, marketing, and crowdsourcing that general posting of your work without creating relationships ahead of time doesn't work as well as we wish it should. I suggest creating a dialogue around the topics or themes of your work and let it come naturally out of that.

I enjoyed this. Some good lighting and camera shots. The aquarium got a little too "found footage" for my taste but it works. I did enjoy the poem as well. A creepy final image invokes some Lovecraftian themes which is always cool in my book.

The S32 website is organized and created as a means to build relationships, network, and discuss topics in the forums—ask questions, share insights, share resources, and information, and share personal experience, knowledge, and opinions. The craft and business forums are intended for topic discussion. If you read the description at the top of this section, "Your Stage," you'll see it's the section where members post personal work to share, or post work for feedback, and/or where members post to promote. Plus every member has their own profile page to post work and share as much as you like. The more you engage and participate in discussions the more people check out your profile. With over 500,000+ members, and growing, lots of members share work and make connections. :)

I enjoyed this too. I didn't mind the 'found footage' style in the middle, rather works to separate sections. Perhaps a little too long in places... editing. Loved the creepy sound at the end! Lovecraftian—great comparison, Ryan! :) Anyway, great work, Caitlin! Are you familiar with the site: https://www.shortoftheweek.com? Perhaps consider submitting. It features shorts from all over the world. I often check it out for inspiration. Best to you! ;)

Thanks Ryan, and Beth. It's great to get feedback. Duly noted about the editing. And I'll check out the short of the week.

Caitlin is it your goal to be more of a filmmaker or actress? Or both? Also, while I won't post it here, should you want feedback on your short, feel free to message me. But, always strive to do the BEST work you can do.
