Greetings!
Not new to this group, but haven't posted anything yet. As a screenwriter I've learned that sometimes you have to just "shoot your own $h*t". Don't be afraid to assemble a team to shoot your script. I'm taking those very steps as we speak. You can find my casting call in the jobs section here https://www.stage32.com/profile/584739/projects.
Good luck! & Thanks!

This has been at the forefront of my plans for 2018. I'm a screenwriter with zero technical know-how or equipment, so, I'm not exactly ready to shoot anything at present.
I am doing as much research as possible to help improve what I personally can bring to a production, which seems to fit into the AP role. I do need to start building a team but I need to make sure I have a strong enough pitch to begin with, which is starting to look more like an actual proposal of how I would launch a successful project.
Anyway, I'm blabbering on. Best of luck with the project.

There is more than likely a lot of film and theatre students in Cape Town, with UCT situated here. I would also assume there are lots of smaller theatre and film studies groups in the area, so it's an excellent suggestion, and one I'll put on my list when I flesh out the project's details.
My initial feeling is that it might be more beneficial to draft a proposal with a fair amount of detail and then get someone with a lot more experience at putting together film crews. We'll see though; it's all about keeping an open mind and taking good advice when it's presented, so thank you :)
