Thank you for your support. #SupportIndieFilm. We have a great distributor in Gravitas Ventures and were fortunate enough to have Circus Road Films as our Producer's Rep. Working on our next feature with some more really talented folks.
John Forrest, a question - did Gravitas come in after the film was completed, or did they work with you early on?
John Ellis - They came in after. Our Producer Rep, Circus Road, got them on board. We had 3 other distributors interested in picking the film up, but Gravitas' ability to get the film where we wanted it, their handling of similar films, their reputation, and most of all, the deal they gave us, made it worth while to go with them. Gravitas very rarely, if ever, picks up films for distribution before they are completed. I talked with them about that regarding our next film, and, even with names attached, they still tend to not want to agree to distribute before completion. With their recent acquisition by Red Arrow, that may change, but for right now, it stands as that. The same with out foreign distributor, California Pictures, they only take films that have been completed.
