A writer who reviewed the "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" reviews his own review.

Not everyone likes the Script Shadow (SS) reviews. However, my opinion is he seems to put a lot into his work. However, when he reviewed the script for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri before it became a feature film, the Shadow thought it was one of the worst screenplays he'd ever read. The film is currently nominated for 8 academy awards, including best original script.

Upon reflection, the SS analyzes how he missed the boat on this script, which he agrees made a very entertaining film.

Haven't read the script, but "Three Billboards" lost me when the deputy didn't notice the station was on fire until after the 4th Molotov cocktail exploded directly behind him - didn't even bother TURNING AROUND! Perhaps a slight hearing problem?

AS:

The $cript Shadow said it was a terrible read but somehow it makes a great movie. Goes against the old adage you can't make a great movie with a bad script.

Paul Mahoney

I agree with you Laura, I found Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri a great script read.

Well....it's a good thing that Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards writer/director) didn't pay the $749 that Carson Reeves charges for an eight-page script analysis.

Bill:

That's a lot scratch. I much rather pay 8 dollars for a 749-page analysis.
