I plan on producing and directing my own streaming series based on my book series. I have a tentative start date that I've set for myself for Fall of 2019. I'm taking my time so everything can be done correctly, i.e. marketing, financials, and distribution channels explored. My question is for those who watch and/or produce such series for the various platforms, do you find more of an audience in a 30-minute show or a 60 minute, plus or minus time for possible advertisers? Also, do you think a daily show, like a soap opera, would be a better choice than a weekly for the 15-year-old and up audience range? I know a lot of people don't like to wait for a series to be released, so I was thinking maybe a 30-minute show daily would work as opposed to a weekly series. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions. Thank you :)
I think both could work, it all depends on the content and how good it is. I haven’t personally seen a difference and I put out co tent that’s anywhere from 2 minutes long, to an hour and a half. Best of luck to you!
