Screenwriting : One sheet examples by Angie Baggett

One sheet examples

I have never been asked for a "one sheet" before, but I have now. Does any one have any examples or a place where I can see samples and templates? Much appreciated!

Sam Borowski

Angie, message me. This is a tough weekend, but I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner. GOD BLESS and STAY FRESH!

In the industry it's also known as a 'leave behind'. It generally comes into play following a face to face meeting with the Producer & Execs so that they have a better recall during an in-house preliminary greenlight meeting. I'm unaware of any format examples for you to copy but maybe someone is willing to share one. Basically, it's the logline, genre and a very brief synopsis that further demonstrates your writing capability (why you don't copy someone else's format). If you're talking about a big time FL production - then it can exceed one page (but certainly no more than 2).

This MIGHT help but I haven't read it myself.

The Writer's Store is out of business - that link just takes you to some magazine subscription come-on site.

Laura, I know - it's sad. I have fond memories of visiting the old store on Wilshire - that's where I met Blake Snyder back in the '70s (maybe '80s).
