I see a lot of projects on Indiegogo asking for funding in exchange for an IMDb credit but I am an actor wanting to prove himself on screen and earn the credits the right way. Is is bad form to ask to be an extra for an IMDb credit instead of just paying my way to a full resume? Thoughts? Will "paying your way" bite anyone in the bum in the long term?

I agree with Mac. If you really want credits on IMDB find some friends and make a short you can submit to festivals. That way you have a project you are proud of and a great way to show off your work!
