Hi everyone! My name is Danielle R Erlich, and I am new to Stage 32. I am an international award-winning sci-fi/fantasy screenwriter. My first installment in my saga entitled LEGACY has garnered 15 awards and over 27 nominations, and its prequel LUANA is following in its footsteps. Some of these awards and nominations were at some of the Top 50 ranked film festivals on the planet. They were both also chosen as semi-finalists for The Stage 32 Sci-fi and Fantasy Screenplay Contest (winner TBD)! So a big thank you to Stage 32! LUANA was also nominated for two awards in The Oaxaca Film Festival's Global Script Challenge (winner TBD). Hi and welcome. Many thanks for offering this share. Science Fiction is not my genre but its of great interest to me to see how other artists tackle topics I don’t write myself. I think Science Fiction is on the rise, there were guest speakers at London Screenwriting Festival this month about the changing face of Sci Fi.
Oh, darn! That would have been so interesting to see. I was at another sci-fi/fantasy film festival where my script placed in the Top 15 though! I was originally an actor, but became very ill with a rare autoimmune disease. I couldn't act anymore, but I didn't want to give up on film. I told myself I just had to find another way to be creative. That's how I got into screenwriting. Fantasy is my favorite genre by far!

Thank you and congratulations! I wish I were able to go! I have a friend that I met at FilmQuest who is going to go up and say a few words on the off chance that I should win. We were both nominated at FilmQuest and Oaxaca. We both placed at FilmQuest, and are luckily in different categories at Oaxaca. So, if you meet a woman named Janet who wrote "Black Goose," tell her I say hi!
