Hello all. My name is Alejandro Mena and I'm currently producing a documentary film about my late father's B24 Liberator bomber crew. They flew bombing missions over Occupied Europe and Nazi Germany in 1944. They were the first crew from their beaten and battered bomb group to complete a 30 mission combat tour. Our film is about the men who flew these heavy bombers in WWII and how thy managed to survive in a world gone mad. We're using animation in a graphic novel style to recreate some of the horrific missions these men flew. Our hope is to reach a younger audience who may not understand the importance of WWII and the triumph over fascism. We're still tweaking on an 8 minute demo piece that we'll use for pitching to investors and donors. In the meantime here are some animation stills from the film.
