Pretty nervous today. Today I start my hopefully long foray into filmmaking. I am doing a (less than a minute long) short film at home with a friend and then around 3 pm, I'll head on over to a friends house to help her make a different short film.
Then after that, there's a Film Festival all weekend long that I plan on going to. I may be stretching my self a bit thin this weekend.

Sounds great, Katherine! I’m dipping my toe into production/filmmaking too, working on a 5-minute short. The time involved has been surprising to me. But at the moment I’m only able to work here and there, so progress is slow. But still, it’s progress. Anyway, good for you to be able to get so much done in one weekend! I hope the festival is both encouraging and fun! ;)
Thanks for responding Beth. It turns out the friends shoot one of the actors fell through and they stopped mid-production.
As for my own shoot with my nephew, it went well and I got some good footage. I did a second session with him and we have almost finished the film. There are still a few more shots that require multiple kids but most of the shots are pretty much done!
The film festival ended up not happening there was construction going on and they had to delay till next year.
