Acting : Which social media platform? by The Silvers Brothers

Which social media platform?

Which social media platform do you find most beneficial to your career? I've found Instagram to be pretty effective, but I hear many people prefer Facebook or Twitter. And Stage 32 is of course really great. Not a lot of love for MySpace nowadays ;)

These days find the local "Categories" that will support your brand... Build an audience 1st through culture & they will support your brand... ;)

This one. I've said it many times, but after discovering Stage 32, and regrettably many years too late, I deleted my Facebook account. I've traded scripts here and made producer connections that have gotten me jobs and interest in my work. I even took someone up on their offer to join their acting class. It's been so inspiring and really opened my eyes to writing better dialogue. I've also used the script services here to my benefit. It's my home and I don't need a 2nd!

You need a SHORT / Fun or straight to the point commercials to help leverage your brands... Don't like posting my videos on other people's timelines but this is an example & has elements of my Video Business Cards that I make long standing connections with... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lOy3-7zbIU - I normally narrate over these but this time just some low music & a few endorsements ... Get some real endorsements to help leverage what you do without you saying it... Let your work shine through but specifically to the markets that want to know & want to learn... I produce so many pieces & leverage --- Open most any door because of what I do for brands to help leverage into new markets... BUT wait there's more!!! - Don't just take my word for it... WATCH!!!

Lately, I've been finding Newgrounds to be useful, at least from a standpoint of building a body of cartoon and video game voice work, and I've gotten to know and work with animators from around the world.

No-one ever casts from Social Media. I even try Slated.com , and nothing.

LinkedIn for sure. Networking with professionals. I have found everyone from fellow actors to casting agents to DPs and SFX people on LinkedIn. You really need to be there.
