Working on producing a feature film

Hi, I'm working on a feature film as Writer/Producer. After copyrighting the screenplay, I decided to go ahead and produce it and tentatively have chosen the Director, DP, PD, PM, and 2nd Unit Director. Locations will be on Oahu, Hawaii, summer 2019. My goal is to distribute the film throughout Asia and Great Britain. It's still in development, the budget is $30 Million not counting post. It's on IMDb.com @

https://pro.imdb.com/title/tt5876372/filmmakers.

Don Diego

You have any money in the bank at this stage of your development? I think you are dreaming. I think you started it wrong with that type of budget. I just looked up your team on IMDB. None of them qualified for that budget size and would not bring any value to the investors. Your chances getting money will be next to nothing. Unless you're planning to finance it with your own money. The development cost would be 2-3 million and it should be in the bank before you start attaching anybody. Get experienced producers on board first who would guide you through the process. Good luck.

Paulette Pearson

I have the production funds from qualified sources. Not disclosed on IMDb.

Paulette Pearson

I appreciate your input, Don. One of my investors owned 14 restaurants. I've already attracted known talent and crew, which I have also not yet disclosed.

Bear Kosik

Why would someone post such a negative, demeaning comment? Sounds as though you have everything under control.

Paulette Pearson

Why thank you, Bear! I really hesitate to share what I'm working on prematurely. A crew member who works on all of Clint Eastwood's films personally called me while filming "Hereafter" and read my screenplay, saying how much he wanted to work with me on this film. An internationally known singer, songwriter, and actress wrote to me after I offered her a role and emailed a script, saying, "I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your screenplay... so much so, that I was irritated when I had to take a bathroom break! I hated to put it down." So maybe the dream will come true.

Don Diego

Paulette, when you provide a limited information on IMDB what response do you want to hear? That its a well packaged project? Think about it. You have 30 million budget film with people presently on board (published) who do not belong to that project. That gives a wrong impression about your producing team and the whole production in general for potential investors, distributors and even for talent agents/managers. Or you are not looking for funding and your contact with 14 restaurants is going to write a check for everything? A crew member, singers, songwriters and actors they all want a job, They all want to get paid, no illusions here. And I'm sorry for such direct response but this is how I see it. And I am an investor.

Paulette Pearson

Dude, this is "Introduce Yourself" lounge, I'm not pitching my project. Stop. I could tell you more, but then, of course, I would have to kill you.

Iesha Washington

Congratulations. Do you already have an entire cast laid out?

Gustavo Freitas

Congrats and good luck!

Eyiara Olugunna

That's great! I read the synopsis on IMDb and it sounds really interesting!!!

Bill Albert

Where did you copyright your screenplay at? WGA? How is that done?

Sai Natarajan

Congratulations dude! That's awesome to hear, all the best :)

Paulette Pearson

Hi Bill, Copyright your work at US Copyright Office - www.copyright.gov, and WGA - West @ www.wgawregistry.org or WGA East @ www.wgaeast.org. Go their websites and follow the instructions. They are very helpful.

James Drago
