Hey, dear community! I’m a writer and filmmaker living in the middle of Germany with one directed micro budget feature and several co-produced, -written and –starred other features on my vita. Yet I feel like I haven’t accomplished a lot in the few years I’m chasing the dream of telling stories to an international audience.
Even though I work a lot as a consultant and producer I consider myself a writer first (working on my new novel as we e-speak). And somehow I feel like I’m not good in networking. Yeah, I know, why join a network than? ‘Cause, like all of us, I want to connect with like-minded people. I don’t want to be the lonely wolf typing his words to an anonymous crowd.
I’d love to hear from you, connect with other creative artists and see how we can help each other out. If I can offer you notes on scripts, story or project ideas, an opinion on how to produce and sell small indie features internationally, a shoulder to lean on to…I’m here. Right in the middle of prep on a little documentary project and a new action/adventure/comedy feature film that’s supposed to be shot next Spring.
Let's create something. Together. Might be fun.
Thanks for the offer of support, Dominik. I'm LA based & don't know much about Germany's film/TV production scene. But a lot of amazing film comes out of Germany...so it seems really robust.

Dominik, for a man who doesn't feel like he's good at networking, you're off to a good start. A brief introduction and an offer of support. Good to meet you.

Thanks a lot to all of you.
Stephanie T. Keefer ; it's funny you mention that 'cause almost nobody I know in the scenes thinks of the German cinema as good these days. At least not for an international market. There're a few exceptions, but they're too rare. Yet I'm really looking forward to the new German Netflix shows. They seem to get a lot things right. As for me; I don't care about countries so much. I'd love to have my stories seen and heard all over the world and the German part of it just is my sensibility as an European artist growing up with American and British cinema.
By he way; hope you're all safe in L.A. these days.
Collier Ward , I hope to get better at it. It's probably just the language barrier. Makes it harder to be funny. I try not to be too serious about stuff. Responses like yours help a lot. Good to e-meet you, too.
