I just read the Stage 32 blog, "The Anthology Feature: And Why You Should Get Involved In One". I really liked the article, mostly because I'm producing and acting in one with Dead Lantern Pictures titled "Chills Down Your Spine". This is the sequel to a very well received "Shivers Down Your Spine". Our anthologies have a wrap around involving a female Djiin (Genie) and male human. In Shivers... , The man finds a sexy genie and wishes for her to tell him ten terrifying tales of horror. In Chills.... , the wrap around is the same man on quest to find the Genie, which he has fallen in love with. In turn, finds her sister. They embark on an odyssey which is "loosely" based on the Greek Mythology of Homers Odyssey where more short tales of horror are intertwined in the story. It's a whole hell of a lot of fun! It's really a comical journey, where short horror stories of different genre are thrown in.
We are still looking for funding to,1. finish Chills and 2. Afford some conventions to take Shivers back out on the road as well as another feature. The idea is that all proceeds from movie sales will go back to paying the initial investors as well as pay for the completion of Chills. Hopefully we can secure a decent distribution deal along the way. We have enough stories and ideas in the works for the 3rd installment as well as my idea for series.
