For the last 40 days I been running an IndieGoGo campaign to raise some funds for a Metal Documentary about the East Coast Scene in Canada. Its were I grew up and spent my 20s helping create the Metal Scene in the early 2000's.
Launching a campaign over the holiday season was a rookie mistake. We didnt get nearly as much as expected. But you live and learn. Either way IndieGoGo offers flex funding so the funds we do get will help out. Maybe we will give it another crack at it this summer.

Hey Billy Stever, John Trigonis here, author of CROWDFUNDING FOR FILMMAKERS (https://goo.gl/xZmls4) and former Film Strategist at Indiegogo (now freelance consulting and managing). If you're looking to do a followup campaign for your documentary, hit me up and I can send you some consulting rates and we can see if we can get a bit more funding than the $2,000 you walked away from Indiegogo with. (Congrats on that!) There are definitely a few other "mistakes" here (which I cover extensively in this video I did for Film Courage, so check it out: https://goo.gl/TEIhMB) aside from launching too close to the holidays that, if remedied, could lead to raising further funds in a second, properly strategized 2.0 MARITIME METAL campaign.
