Hello! My name is Brandon Lawrence (imdb.me/Brandon), and I've been involved in amateur independent filmmaking since 2015. Here are the two productions I'm most proud of: (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPoiSHS-ZeangrJKEYwdZuENrFsqnwPIP). I'm ready to start narrowing my focus, and for the last year I've primarily been watching female-driven comedies and listening to female stand-up comedians as a way to refine my screenwriting abilities in regards to writing women characters, after some feedback I received to the effect of "Every female character you write sounds like a witty robot." Ouch. So, I'm interested in developing my skills in this area, and I've always been drawn to comedies with a heavily female-driven plot anyways. I'd love to be able to pay someone for their services in return for assistance with my skills in female characterization and dialogue. Thank you.

I just read the two loglines you had previously written, and I'd be very excited to collaborate as well, either on one/both of those scripts, or another script/s.

Hi Brandon, I have written an original, low budget female driven comedy. Shortlisted by competitions; I'm now looking for investors. Check out "Unarmed and Dangerous". I put together a teaser trailer also at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNzBopyESrM&t=100s

Hey Vincent! That sounds right up my alley, as I love a lot of old Hollywood comedies, and I've always had in mind a few different time-travel plot devices/gags that I think would be unique.

Hey Robert! I'm going to check those out now!

Hey Robert! I love the story pitch! I should've mentioned this to both Vincent and you; any screenwriting project I worked on, I'd want to make sure we attempted to sell it and not make it ourselves with a limited budget and lesser-known actors (such as myself, lol!). If this is a sticking point with either of you, I apologize and I won't mind a bit! Let's keep the conversation going.

Hi Brandon, I am a writer. Although that's me in the trailer as the Scottish Police Chief, it was filmed on a 'no budget'. So, I totally agree with you - I'd like to sell it and make sure it has the quality cast and crew to make it a real success. It is super low budget in any case. Primarily a small town, one location, 5 week shoot with the lease being a 20 yo female.
It wasn't you I had an issue with, believe me, but that's neither here nor there. However... some of the cast is fairly charming, the dialogue is good. Let's keep all options on the table. I just have been in the position before where some of my best work has been in many ways fulfilled, but in other ways completely compromised by overacting performers, and I never want to be in that position again.
Agreed. All good Brandon. Let me know if yo'd like to read the screenplay. Any feedback, is always most welcome.
I'd love to read the screenplay Robert!

Hi Robert (oops! Meant BRANDON but nice to meet you too, Robert!). Good for you being honest and proactive about it. I began working with JACOB LARCH (who responded to my query here for a partner). I asked him to send me one of his stories, and was so impressed with how well he wrote female characters that I began working with him to co-create and write the script for my original idea for a TV series project. Also, I needed someone with knowledge about Pagans and England. Amazed by how it all worked out. It will work out for you too. Already you have potential solutions. ;-)
Thanks Valerie. If you're after European or Australian culture, I can help. And as far as swapping screenplays; it only makes us better story tellers, doesn't it? That's only a good thing. Cheers from downunder!
Vincent, you now have my script! Be gentle...not!
Hey Vincent - I forgot to say, I love both Singin in the Rain and Back to the Future.

Brandon, I have 2 pilots and 3 features that are female driven. Dialogue is my sweet spot. And, being of the female persuasion, this sounds like it could be fun. If you'd like to chat, drop me a message.
Robert Drusetta - Hi Robert. Thanks for the offer of help regarding those cultures. Cheers back!

Joleene DesRosiers - Thanks for the reminder that you're available for female protagonist-driven projects with dialogue being your sweet spot. Good to know!

Thank you everyone! I've had a soul-crushing headache today, but now I can reply to each of these messages.
Valerie Michele Oliver Yes! Shooting one of the pilots this summer. Four female leads. Dramedy. I'm producing and co-directing it, too. I built out their world in two different pilots, really. (Each pilot has a bible and a second episode, too) Let me know if I can ever be of assistance. :)

Kelly, you have a natural comedic delivery, have you ever tried your hand at stand-up comedy? I don't think I'm quite brave enough to do stand-up, but I may someday. Anyways, perhaps write some of the most humorous accounts you remember and put them in a set!
Okay, Robert and Vincent, be expecting emails from me about the scripts in the next two days.
Robert! I don't know where I got Australian from! You were probably like, What the hell? :D

Hey Brandon. Not sure what you’re referring to but I am Australian, with European culture upbringing.
Hey Robert! Sorry for the mix-up. Also, I just emailed you some notes on your script.
Vincent Paterno, I just got done sending notes to Robert about his script, expect yours in the next little bit here.
