hey everyone. I am a first time film maker, and my short film won the LA Shorts Award for Best in Show!! It's very rewarding but I'm making this up as I go, so I wanted to see if anyone had experience with the LA Shorts Awards..and what other festivals are similar that I could submit to. Thats all, thanks so much!

I don't have any experience with the LA Shorts, since I don't make films, but that's great for your win - congrats! You may want to contact animal rescue groups/horse rescue groups and ask them to put your short on their websites. I also know an amazing person here on Stage32 that runs her own horse rescue group in L.A, Here is a pretty comprehensive list of film festivals/competitions, and many accept shorts:

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! I would love to get in contact with your friend who has a horse rescue group! I mean, i would love to volunteer, I miss being around horses!
